    Commission Report [Breakdown]

    Follow

The Commission Report records and calculates staff commissions that have accrued within a selected period of time. These commissions are culled from three types of transactions:

    1. PT Sales
    2. PT Events
    3. Funding past PT Events

(Note: Canadian clubs do not currently have access to PT or Commission Reports.)

How to Access the Commission Report

There are two ways to access the Commission Report -each of them unique in how they offer to select a timeframe. These routes can be found through Reports and Package Setup, respectively. For notes on what each route offers, click here.

How to Read the Commission Report

The Commission Report is divided into two types of tabs: Summary and Employee. Whereas the Summary tab shows an entire staff’s commissions simultaneously, each employee is also given their own Employee tab where the transactional statistics are shown. Here is each tab broken down for easier notation.

    A. The Summary Tab

    Commission_Report.png

    Color Key:

White Stripe = The event is both paid for and validated.
Red Stripe = The event is not yet paid for.
Yellow Stripe = The event is not yet validated.

Columns generated by this tab include:

    • Location Name: The location in which the demonstrated sales occurred.

    • Sales Person: The name of the club employee who performed the sale.

Note: Though titled ‘Sales Person’, this column incorporates Trainers, as well.

    • Sales Commission: The totalled Sales Commission a Sales Person made within the designated dates.

    • PT Commission: The totalled PT Commission a Sales Person made within the designated dates.

    • Orientation and Assessment Commission: The totalled Orientation and Assessment Commission a Sales Person made within the designated dates.

    • Group Commission: The totalled Group Commission a Sales Person made within the designated dates.

    • Total Commission: The combined commissions that a Sales Person made within the designated dates.

    • Commissionable Events: The number of a Sales Person's sessions that were commissionable within the designated dates.

Note: This total incorporates, both, funded and not funded events.

    • Attendee Status Key: This explains the various Event Statuses and red/yellow highlights found within the Employee tab.

    B. The Employee Tab

Here, an employee’s earnings are broken down further into sections based on transaction type: Sales, PT, Class, and Orientations/Assessments. Whereas Sales Commissions covers purchasing stats, the remaining Commissions detail training events. (
Note: A club will not have Orientation and Assessment Commissions if their Member Services have not been set up for it.) All events are listed in order of ascending training date. Click each link to jump ahead to a specific section.

    Section One: Sales Commission

    Sales_Commission_Table.png

Columns generated by this section include:

    • Sold Date: The date in which the Member’s package was purchased.

    • Member Name: The name of the Member who purchased the package.

    • Package Name: The name of the purchased package.

    • Amount: The cost at which the package was purchased.

    • Commission Type: The category of commission for which the employee is being    compensated.

    • Commission %: The pre-set sales percentage at which the employee is to be  paid.

    • Total Commission: The total amount in which the employee will be making off of the   sale.

    Section Two: PT Commission

An event can only appear in this section if it fulfills one of three criteria:

    1. If it was on the calendar within the timeframe of this report.
    2. If it is an earlier-occurring session now funded within the dates of this report.
    3. If it was a Complete event that has now been deleted within the timeframe of this report.

    PT_Commission_Arrow.png

Columns generated by this section include:

    • Member Service Name: The name of the Member Service purchased.

    • Training Date: The date in which the Member Service event is set to occur.

    • Member Name: The name of the Member who purchased the Member Service.

    • Event Status: The stage at which an event resides within the timeframe of the report. An event that is Completed and Deleted within the same pay period will, here, appear as CP with a ‘(D)’ attached to the end of the Member’s name.  (Again, for definitions of these abbreviations, look to the Attendee Status Key located in the Summary tab.)

Note: Deleted events do not pay commission. Furthermore, if an event that was
             funded
in a past period becomes deleted in another, any originally paid
             commission will now
be deducted from that trainer’s current pay period.

    • Event Duration: The expected length of the Member Service training.

    • Funded Date: The date in which the Member Service was funded. This date can  vary as it requires two actions to occur:

                 1. Club staff setting the session to either ‘Completed’, ‘Canceled - Charge’, or
                     ‘No Show - Charge’.

                 2. The Member paying for the session.

Note: The posted date will be that of whichever action occurred last.

    • Chargeable?: Verifies whether or not a Funded Date exists. This is confirmed via   ‘Y’, ‘N’, or ‘N (Funded out of date range)’. ‘N (Funded out of date range)’ states that the event was eventually funded on a date that occurs later than the dates   depicted in the report.

Note: If the result is not ‘Y’, the Trainer can not be paid and the event becomes
             highlighted in red.

    • Validated Date: The date (and time) in which the Member’s event was set to  Complete. This action can occur in one of three ways:

                 1. The Member checks into the club two hours before or after the event.

                 2. A staff member manually sets the calendar event to Complete.

                 3. A Manager (or the Member, themselves) enters their PIN to Complete the
                     event.

Note: If left invalidated, this event will become highlighted in yellow.

    • Validated By: Displays the individual responsible for validating the event. Credit  comes down to how the event was validated.

                 1. If validated via Member check-in, the Member's name will appear.

                 2. If validated via PIN-entry, the PIN owner's name will appear.

                 3. If BOTH a check-in and PIN-entry occur, this field will default to showing the
                     checked-in Member's name.

    • Session Value: The cost at which the Member purchased their Member Service. No value will appear unless the session is chargeable.

For BodyWorks: The default price of a Member Service within Club OS may
             differ from
a BodyWorkz default. If so, a BodyWorkz-purchased Member Service
             will still value at
     its original BodyWorkz price.

    • Subject: The event subject as listed when the event was created.

Note: This feature enables clubs to track the attendance/popularity of club events. This is especially important for the Alloy program and differentiating between the Base, Burn, and Build classes. Click here to learn more about creating events.

    • Commission Rate: The pre-set rate at which a club has decided to pay staff in  the case of a sale.

    • Total Commission: The total amount in which the employee will be making off of the sale.

    Section Three: Group Commission

The Group Commission’s purpose is identical to that of the PT Commission, above.

Note: If a group event has been deleted, there is the chance it may fail to appear within its expected report. If this is the case, please contact Club OS.

Columns generated by this section include:

    • Member Service Name: The name of the Member Service purchased.

    • Training Day: The date in which the Member Service event is set to occur.

    • Name of Attendees: The names of the Members who purchased the event, separated by commas.

    • # Attendee Funded: The number of attendees whose purchase was funded prior to the pay period’s close.

    • # Attendee Validated: The number of attendees whose purchase was validated prior the pay period’s close.

    • Session Value: The cost at which the Member purchased the Member Service.    No value will appear unless the session is chargeable.

For BodyWorks: The default price of a Member Service within Club OS may differ
             from
a BodyWorkz default. If so, this purchased Member Service will appear in
             this column
    at its original BodyWorkz price.

Section Four: Orientation and Assessment Commission

Again an event will only appear here if an Orientation/Assessment was completed with a Member Service attached. Because, typically, a Member does not pay for Orientations or Assessments, this section’s events do not carry a funding requirement. Provided that the event is set to a payable status, commission will continue to be paid.
